La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec launches its new Parcours Innovation, in partnership with Loto-Québec, CAE, CDRIN and Eidos Montréal. How does the Innovation Program work?

Two cohorts of up to 4 companies will be created in winter 2024. Selected by a jury of experts, these two cohorts will be paired with mentors from the technology and commercialization fields.

Studios must first submit their applications.

Selected studios will be invited to participate in workshops throughout the year.

Committee members are drawn from the following fields:

  • Technical expertise (sound, rendering, AI, etc.)
  • Gameplay expertise (game design, narrative design, etc.)
  • Strategic expertise (marketing, business plan, vision, FMC submission, etc.)

Cohort members will :

  • discuss and exchange research ideas and opportunities for innovation within projects;
  • take their project even further in terms of innovation

The jury will reconvene and select the winner(s) of the two prizes based on the final reports submitted by the studios taking part in the program, and the realization potential of the project presented.

The selected studios will benefit from these services:

Personalized support from an innovation expert

l

They will have access to a bank of hours with their mentors, in addition to taking part in several group workshops in a master class format.

They will be eligible for one of the two scholarships.

Each selected studio will benefit from personalized coaching and activities worth $12,000. Two bursaries worth $20,000 will be awarded at the end of the program to the two most promising projects, following a jury’s evaluation of their program reports. These bursaries are to be used exclusively for the advancement and completion of the selected projects, according to the terms and conditions to be shared.
