An initiative to encourage leadership of the independent video game industry
The Ubisoft Indie Series presented by National Bank is a competition for independent video game studios in Quebec. Organized by La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, it aims to provide grants, mentoring, creative and marketing tools and financial advice to propel the success of these studios and their games.
The Ubisoft Indie Series will invite 10 finalist studios to present and demonstrate their game in front of a jury of experts from Ubisoft, National Bank and the industry in May 2022. Eligible games must be in early production, demonstrate originality, a strong creative vision and a high potential for success. Special consideration will also be given to studios that value diversity in their game and/or team.

PRIZES
Grand prize
The winning studio in Quebec will receive:
- $ 50,000 prize;
- Mentorship provided by Ubisoft experts to help with development according to the studio’s needs;
- Mentorship provided by experts from the Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM);
- Marketing support for the game;
- Internal and external communications activities to promote the collaboration between Ubisoft and the studio, locally and internationally;
- Entrepreneurial training experience offered by National Bank.
National Bank’s Special Prize
National Bank will determine, according to its own selection criteria, one (1) studio in Quebec who will win a Special Prize:
- $ 25,000 prize;
- Mentorship provided by Ubisoft experts to help with development according to the studio’s needs;
- Mentorship provided by experts from the Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM);
- Personalized financial diagnosis and counsel provided by National Bank experts.
Finalists
Studios selected as finalists will receive a 60-minute financial diagnosis by National Bank experts.
Eligibility
Only independent video game studios with a maximum of 50 employees located in Quebec and members of La Guilde are eligible.

Pitch Day
The 10 finalist studios will be invited to present and demonstrate their game in front of a panel of Ubisoft, National Bank and industry experts on May 5, 2022.

Registrations for the 2022 edition are open from January 12, 2022 to February 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
