The new DEI Accelerator Program, presented by the Canada Media Fund in collaboration with National Bank, provides diversity, equity and inclusion coaching to independent studios with fewer than 50 employees. This initiative aims to support La Guilde’s members in integrating tools and practices that foster an organizational culture that adheres to DEI principles.
The program includes various types of activities, such as workshops focused on the creation of new tools and round-table discussions to plan their implementation. The accelerator also includes mentoring for studios with similar profiles, but with well-established policies and practices. This program offers studios the opportunity to acquire a concrete structure, validated by experts, to ensure an equitable, inclusive and safer working environment.
At the end of the program, participating studios will have acquired the following tools and resources:
- A DEI action plan
- A prevention policy against harassment, discrimination and violence within the workplace, adapted to their studio
- An employee handbook
- A mentoring relationship that continues outside the program
- A cohort that will support each other in implementing their respective tools
- A follow-up offered by La Guilde’s DEI advisor to ensure the integration and sustainability of the tools implemented.
A first cohort, who mobilized 10 video game studios, was accompanied last Fall and this Winter 2024.
A huge thank you to our partners!
